Dezeen Showroom: Asplund is celebrating ten years of its Tati furniture collection, featuring tables and home accessories with curved metal bases designed by Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle.
The Tati furniture collection began in 2011 as a set of nesting tables with curved legs that made them easy to slide out.
Since then, the range has grown to include consoles, side tables, coat racks, coffee tables, desks, dining tables and a mirror, all with the same minimalistic arched base.
"Looking back 10 years ago, when we made the first sketches of what was to become a table called Tati, our goal was to create a design that was simple yet versatile and would stand the test of time," said Broberg and Ridderstråle.
"A decade later we can, together with the producer Asplund, proudly claim to have reached this goal," the designers continued.
"A long-living design is something that is created and managed with love and enthusiasm and thereby receives the care that is needed for its survival. This is extremely rewarding for a designer."
